What happens at this event?
If you’ve always wanted to learn to sew, this class is for you. By the end of the lesson, you will be confidently threading a sewing machine and finishing up a tote bag or an envelope cushion to show off with pride. This class will set you up to continue your sewing adventure at home or tackle one of our dressmaking classes. Let the fun begin!

Yes, if you choose to make the cushion then we will provide the cushion insert.
It's an envelope cushion cover that you will learn to make.
We like to keep our classes small so that everyone has enough teacher time. We generally have a maximum of 8.
Yes, we have all the sewing equipment that you need but you are welcome to bring your own to practice on.

I had a fantastic time at the beginner's class. I had never used a sewing machine before but by the end of the class I had made a really professional looking lined tote bag. Jamie took us through everything step by step and made it a really straightforward and enjoyable experience. Thank you!!
